And the winner is...Vision Personal Training
On Tuesday, 30 March, the Mini-Mos committee invited all 5K Sponsor Sweepstakes entrants to a breakfast where this year's event Ambassador, Olympian Matt Shirvington launched the 2010 Mini-Mos charity fun run. This occasion afforded Sponsors an opportunity to meet representatives from this year's designated charities; Giant Steps and The Starlight Foundation. Speaking at the launch, representatives from both charities spoke movingly about their work. “At Giant Steps we seek to meet the challenge of autism and to create a bright future for our children and their families,” said Kerrie Nelson, Principal of Giant Steps. “Exercise is important for all children and has proven to be an effective therapy in helping children with autism.” “Starlight helps brighten the lives of seriously ill children on a daily basis”, added Justine Robinson from Starlight Children’s Foundation, “money raised from events such as Mini-Mos helps significantly in this important cause.” A highlight of the launch was the drawing of the winner of the Mini-Mos Sponsor Sweepstake, which was won by Vision Personal Training, a company providing customized personal training programs. “Vision Personal Training is delighted to support the 2010 Mini-Mos and to be named the Principal Sponsor of the 5km Race,” said Company Director Ben Lucas. “We like to say that there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing people reach their vision. Mini-Mos sees 2,500 racers reach their vision of participating in a challenging run and we are thrilled to be involved.” Visit our "Supporters" page for a full list of those businesses supporting this year's event. |
